Areas of Spinal Surgery

Cervical

Dr. Yoon treats a variety of different cervical (neck) spinal disorders, such as cervical disc herniation, nerve root or spinal cord compression, deformity, infection, and trauma. He enjoys performing a variety of cervical spinal surgeries. This include ACDF, cervical corpectomy, laminoplasty, and cervical spinal fusion.

Thoracic

While most thoracic pain is not surgical, there are some that require surgical intervention. Dr. Yoon treats thoracic disc herniation, spinal cord compression, thoracic spinal root compression, scoliosis, and other disorders of the thoracic spine.

Lumbar

The most common spinal problem is in the lumbar spine (low back region). Most low back pain conditions can be treated non-surgically, but at times, surgery is required. These conditions include stenosis, nerve root compression, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, and other conditions. Dr. Yoon performs surgery on all of these conditions using the most advanced and proven techniques.

Deformity

Deformities such as fallback syndrome or scoliosis can be debilitating. If non-surgical treatment is not providing sufficient relief, then major deformity surgery may be necessary. Dr. Yoon has a tremendous amount of experience with these surgeries and will choose the most appropriate surgery for you.
